Dissolving methods:
First Method:
NO.1: prepare 80°C DM water to 65 – 90 % and adjust its PH to 5-6 with acetic acid. Meanwhile, the water hardness must not be above 50 ppm.
NO.2: pour 10-35 % of Rockawax MUPE-100 in the vessel and start the mixer with 35-65 RPM and run it for 30-60 minutes So that, the flakes are covered by water until a uniform product is formed. When you make sure that the whole of flakes been dissolved in water, you must reduce the temperature to 45 °C and then discharge it. Moreover, into during of Mixing, the water temperature must not be lower than 78– 80 °C.
Second Method:
Specified amounts of Rockawax MUPE-100 and DM water will be poured in Steel double jacked container and increase temperature to 75- 80°C.then start the Mixer with 35-65 RPM and run it for 30 – 60 minutes.
Adding a strong preserver for emulsions that should be maintained more than one week is obligatory. Rock biocide of Rock Chemie Co. to amount of 0.2% and 0.1% sodium benzoate is recommended. Although, this emulsion has high stability in different conditions from the environmental point of view, but stirring it before using is recommended.
This wax is dissolvable in water and it can render a uniform and stable emulsion.
This product is free from non-standard chemicals like: formaldehydes, Alkyl phenol Etoxylate detergents and etc.
It is compatible with a wide range of anionic, cationic and amphoteric additives.
This product is dilutable with different types of aromatic solvents and organic esters.
It has no had bad odor so that it is useable with a wide range of perfumed additives.
Its handling is very easy.
Its emulsion dye ability with types of organic dyes is acceptable.
This product is useable in a wide variety of industries.
Polish Industry
15% emulsion of this product is a very good polish that along with a Micro emulsion silicon softener like Rockasoft RID54 can increase the Luster , Polish and Gloss of dyed metallic and wooden surfaces ( for example : car polish ).Leather Wax (Natural/Synthetic) Emulsion of this product has filling and softening properties and its handle on natural leather is excellent. The emulsion should be added to ready paste of pigment resin to amount of 2 -3 %. This product can prevent from sticking of the finished leather to the press equipment’s. After final finishing of leather, you can use from blend of 20% emulsion of this product with emulsion silicon (Rockasoft TIMA) as TOP Finish.
Textile Industry
25% emulsion of this product can be widely regarded as a very good softener with weighting effect and, also, it can enhance the fabric sew ability. This wax can be combined with different types of softeners (cationic, anionic and non-ionic) and also with types of printing binders, non-woven resins, fluorocarbon resins, waterproofing resins and fabric coating resins simultaneously.
Wood Industry
This product can be a very good coating for different types of woods. 35-40% emulsion of this wax can be applied on woods by methods of Spraying, Brushing and Dipping. It can, also, protect expensive woods against scratching and rubbing during handling. Emulsion of this product, either alone or along with acrylic emulsion resins, is a very suitable coating for various types of wooden equipment’s. According to a water–proofing agent like Rockafob USD, this emulsion could positively affect resistance of wooden Skelton’s against rainy and cold weather. In coating of furniture, emulsion of this product along with the other additives can create a miracle of beauty and resistance.
Resin Industries
As an additive, Rockawax MUPE-100 plays an important role in resistance enhancing, weighting and softening resins such as: homopolymer and copolymer, acrylic, acrylic/styrene emulsions. Adding 10-35% of 25% emulsion of this product to 65- 90% of resin will bring about remarkable results.
Paper Industries Emulsion of Rockawax MUPE-100 is a strong coating agent for filling and enhancing the resistance papers.
Agriculture Industries
This product is a good coating factor for protecting trees, stem and various types of fruits against environment.
Detergent Industries
Adding 2 – 10% of this product to industrial detergency powders could soften goods
Dyed Metals
Through dissolving of Rockawax MUPE-100 in organic solvents and spraying or dipping of expensive sheets like titanium and steel in this solution, you can protect these metals from all kinds of transferring damages. Transferring of Expensive Cars a 25-45% emulsion of Rockawax MUPE-100 could protect every kind of car from scratching during of transferring without any negative effect on car dyes. Cleansing and washing of wax is recommended with warm water (45 – 60 °C).
Other consumptions
This product could be used with a wide range of additives such as organic based resins, glue, starch, soap, synthetic thickeners; dispersing agent based on naphthalene, phenolic, acrylic, sulphited and Sulphonated oils, organic esters, water soluble softeners and etc. according to the formulator.
